About

Our mission is to provide the unique support that is needed to assist others as they build their confidence and continue on their journey of mental health recovery.

Prairies to Peaks Consulting Inc. and its affiliates have provided personal coaching, facilitation and training in mental health and wellness since 1986. Our areas of expertise include Depression education and mental health management, and we are currently the only company in Western Canada to offer Peer Support Worker training in Western Canada.

Our vision is to work alongside the Canadian Government, Human Services Professionals and Mental Health Consumers to provide the best care and support possible to a growing demographic. This action requires specialized training with a unique peer support approach in order to work together towards to elimination of social stigma, and to promote the building of community.

Magda Czegledi, M.D., CPS

Presenter/Facilitator in Depression Education (Volunteer)

Magda has seen depression from every angle: as a clinician during eight years in family practice, as a family member, and as a patient who had chronic, treatment-resistant depression for many years. This combination of experience has given her a passion for helping people overcome depression, as well as a unique perspective for what’s needed for recovery. Magda loves to raise awareness about depression and teach about the importance of lifestyle strategies for long term stability. Her story of recovery since implementing these tools is one that inspires and provides hope.

Cara Henry, Diploma, Communications & Media, CPS

Communications and Marketing Lead

Cara’s involvement in the human services industry began in 2003. Her experience stems from a variety of differing roles, in both professional and volunteer capacities. She worked with the YWCA Family Services for three years while studying digital media arts and communications. Upon completing her post secondary education, Cara moved on to pursue a communications career in the energy and petroleum industry. However, her interest in human services compelled her to continue to participate as a dedicated volunteer with Opportunity Works, a non-profit agency that provides self-employment and mental health support to any self-identifying individuals in the Calgary community. Cara is currently a Program Team Leader at Chrysalis, an Alberta society for citizens with disabilities. She has a passion for building community and raising awareness and she is excited to be contributing her skills and experience to Prairies to Peaks Consulting and the expansion of the Peer Support role in Canada.
