“Beth Henry is leading a revolution in the mental health community. Her work through Prairies to Peaks Consulting for the [Peer Support Worker] Training is invaluable and has saved my life. I experience symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder, and am a survivor of long term chip sexual abuse. I am dyslexic and have difficulties with focusing. Sadly, I am one of thousands of people in Calgary who have similar experiences and struggle to cope.

The training was almost surreal… I had a safe environment where I challenged myself. I realized through the training and support that I had more personal work to do, and sitting at home focusing on my past didn’t help anyone or anything.

Beth Henry’s work and efforts forced to me to realize my illness story needs to transition to a recovery story… She is responsible for giving me the tools to be able to support my community…[Peer Support Worker] Training is life changing and inspiring. Students are given the tools to helps themselves, and then help others. It is time to break the cycle of silence. It is time to education our communities, It is time to invest in a program that perpetuates recovery.”
